The Sustainica Fair invites national and international businesses, creative- and cultural industries to join this cutting-edge platform that focuses on sustainability and innovation. From June 2 to June 5 2016 businesses showcase innovative solutions for sustainable living and consumption at the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf.
The contemporary art exhibition Planet B, curated by the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, runs from 2 June till 21 August 2016. Artists, designers and innovators showcase exciting artwork linked to the different layers of sustainability. The partnership between Sustainica & Planet B allows the visitor to enjoy a unique experience of innovation and creativity, combined with the aesthetic qualities of contemporary art.
The NRW-Forum (1926) is an exhibition and events house in Düsseldorf. It is located north of the Old Town (Altstadt) between the Rhine and the Düsseldorf Hofgarten.
The museum stages alternating exhibitions geared towards the aesthetic, social and economical phenomena of our time. It is devoted to the most diverse areas of our culture, such as the applied arts, design, advertising, architecture, photography, video, technology and fashion.
With 2,000 square meters of fair and exhibition space, a beautiful grand terrace, its high ceilings and excellent hospitality, Sustainica & Planet B takes place in a distinctive environment, where business, art and visitors meet in an atmospheric setting.
The Sustainable Lifestyle Initiative is a social enterprise focussed on sustainable lifestyle and consumption. It was established in 2014 for the purpose of organising a cutting-edge consumer fair.
Today, we are proud to present you the concept of the first edition of Sustainica in partnership with the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf. Sustainica is supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (Partner of the 10YFP), Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production and the City of Düsseldorf.
Vasco Bontje is founder of the Sustainable Lifestyle Initiative and together with project partners, businesses, artists, a team of dedicated freelancers and experts he’s committed to make a positive impact on society.
